Learning to Talk

This course is geared specifically for babies learning the building blocks of language. ‘Learning to Talk’ is for babies around 0-12 months, or any baby/toddler who isn’t saying words yet. This course will teach you about how babies learn language, and specifically what you can do to help them. We cover HOW to talk to babies, WHAT to talk about, WHEN to talk about it, and WHY. You will leave this course with a newfound knowledge of how to interact with your baby that will help support their speech and language development and help you bond! You will see lots of examples and videos explaining how to use specific strategies, as well as ideas for games, activities, and book-reading.

Emerging Language

This course is geared toward babies and toddlers who have just started talking. They may only say one word, a few individual words, a growing vocabulary, or may even be starting to put two words together. This course is great for all these stages! ‘Emerging Language’ will teach you how to build on the language your child already has. We will meet your child where they are and build from there! This course outlines specific strategies which can be used during reading, play, eating, driving in the car, and in everyday conversation. These evidence-based techniques will help little ones build their vocabulary, length of their utterances, ability to understand others, promote health oral motor and speech skills, and develop their budding ability to tell stories or talk about their day. There will be video examples and step by step instructions to implement these techniques right at home!
