Vocabulary Development

So many parents want to know the hard numbers to see where their child compares across the speech & language board.

Vocabulary is only one area of language, and certainly doesn’t define any child or their full capacity of skills and potential, but it does give some measurement of their expressive language skills at an early age. .

Summer is a great time to build new words into a child’s vocabulary! New experiences at the beach 🏖, foods at a barbecue 🍔🍉, and outdoor games and activities ⛳️🏸🥏are just a few ways you can get out and expose your little ones to new language. 🥝
Help them notice, touch, and smell new things... labeling all those great new words along the way!.
